Meet the The Young Women of Siddhartha School
Who Have Brought Recognition to Ladakh

Siddhartha School graduates Stanzin Angmo, Tsewang Chuskit and Tashi Laskit were each recognized this month at home and abroad for their great accomplishments.

Tashi Laskit (class of 2012) arrived this morning in Ladakh after being the first girl from Ladakh to summit Mount Everest as part of the first ever ‘all girl’ expedition organized by the Indian National Cadet Corps (Photos by Genley Ngawang Yeshe of her arrival at Rinpoche Bakula airport in Leh).

Also this month, two Siddhartha School 2013 alumni, Tsewang Chuskit and Stanzin Angmo received distinctions upon graduation from US high schools.

Stanzin Angmo is featured in the Portland Press Herald as a “2016 Graduate to Watch.”

Tsewang Chuskit received a US Congressional Recognition Award from Congresswoman Nita Lowey for her “outstanding and invaluable” service to the community.

Bravo to these Ladakhi young women for their accomplishments!
