Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving. – W.T. Purkiser

Dear Friend,

In considering the upcoming occasion of Thanksgiving, the Siddhartha School teachers, students and staff would like to say thank you for all that you do to make the school a loving, academically strong, and safe place for learning. You have done so much to improve the campus and to give new opportunities to our students. Powered by your generous gifts, together we have:

Provided running water on demand throughout the campus wash rooms, kitchen, and campus gardens

Installed new electrical power lines for more stable energy deployment at the school

Built a computer lab with new equipment and a dedicated power source to accommodate 30 students at a time

Built new bathrooms and hand washing stations

Built a new floor for our outdoor stage

Funded and hired a new, full time music teacher

Brought back our Music and Media Camp in partnership with Ladakh Arts and Media Organization (LAMO)

Brought the Siddhartha School students art work to to show at a collaborative exhibition in New York City with the Lower East Side Girls Club (LESGC) and Minnequa ElementarySchool (in Pueblo, CO)

Established two fellowship awards to honor distinguished graduates and support their volunteer projects at the school

Sponsored the tuition of over 120 students in need of scholarship support

Provided teacher training to our staff to help them build their capacities and enhance their methodologies

Over the weekend we will make an exciting announcement to launch
our #GivingTuesday Scholarship Fund Campaign. Watch for it in your inbox, and check out our 3 part checklist below for some fun ways to help us grow the Siddhartha School Scholarship fund this holiday season.

On behalf of Khen Rinpoche, Geshe Tsewang, Siddhartha School’s teachers and staff, we wish you and your families a joyous and festive Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,

Laura Kozaitis
