Today, we celebrate the 88th birthday of Siddhartha School’s beloved founder, Khensur Rinpoche Lobzang Tsetan! Though the school was on winter break, staff gathered on campus for a heartfelt celebration in his honor.
At the request of Principal Dechen Wangmo, teachers and staff arrived in formal traditional dress for the March 5 event, which took place in the multipurpose hall. The ceremony began with a mandala offering, followed by long-life prayers for Rinpoche’s continued health and well-being.
To conclude the gathering, all in attendance enjoyed a festive birthday cake. We’ve included pictures below.
