Songs from the Past and Now!

On March 2, Siddhartha School organized the annual interhouse singing competition for students. Students sang Ladakhi songs, Bollywood (Hindi) songs, and some Western songs. Traditionally, singing music together is a cornerstone of Ladakhi culture and is regularly shared among family and friends. Many

historical folk songs center around stories of history and religion, and they often include formalized dance. The annual event aligns with the school’s mission to provide a contemporary education while also honoring the cultural traditions of Ladakh.

For best duet song: Rigzin Dorjey and Kunga Palden (Kushinagar House)
For best group song: Vikramshila House

We congratulate all who participated and had the courage to get on stage and sing in front of their peers!
