“I am leaving, but my heart will always stay with Siddhartha.”
— Dechen Wangmo, Siddhartha School Principal

An Announcement About Siddhartha School Leadership
We share a message of gratitude to you all, our dear supporters, from Dechen Wangmo. Dechen has served as principal of the Siddhartha School since July 2017. Her tenure was marked by a passion for educating both teachers and students. She brought great humility, goodness, and compassion to the entire student body and teaching community of the Siddhartha School. Dechen has long believed in igniting a child’s innate desire to learn, fostering a child’s inherent intelligence and allowing each child to succeed. Her leadership will be missed.

We wish her well as she joins her husband in his military command along with their young son. Her commitment to the Siddhartha School will continue in service on the Ladakhi board.
Oceans of gratitude to Principal Dechen Wangmo.

A Farewell Note from Principal Dechen Wangmo
Dear Siddhartha School Community,
With a heart full of gratitude, I would like to extend my deepest thanks to all our kind, compassionate, and generous donors who have stood by our school and its children for years, and in many cases, for decades.
Because of your unwavering support, so many children have been able to receive an education, dream of a better future, and believe in their own potential. Education is perhaps the greatest asset we can ever give a child; it empowers them, gives them dignity, opens doors, and stays with them for a lifetime.
Your contribution has therefore been much more than financial support. You have been investing in lives, dreams, and futures. Every child whose life has been touched by this school carries a part of your kindness and generosity with them.
As I step away from my role at the school due to some unavoidable personal commitments, I do so with a heart filled with gratitude. Serving the school and witnessing the impact of your generosity over the years has been a privilege and an honour.
Although I will no longer be at the school in my official capacity, my bond with the school and its children will always remain close to my heart. I will continue to support the school in every way I can and will always be there whenever my help, guidance, or support is needed.
Thank you for believing in the school, believing in our children, and for being part of a journey that has transformed so many young lives.
I may be stepping away from my position, but I will never step away from my commitment to the school.
With deepest gratitude and heartfelt appreciation,
Dechen Wangmo
Principal
