An Important Communication Regarding Student Sponsorship

Dear Siddhartha School Community of Supporters,

Our Student Sponsorship program is a wonderful introduction for many who are new to the life-changing impact of the Siddhartha School. Sponsorship connects you with a student and their family, and you can see firsthand how your investment makes a difference in a student’s life.

Today, 178 extraordinary individuals, families, and organizations act as all-important sponsors of student education at the Siddhartha School. These funds account for 25% of the overall budget needed to keep the school’s doors open.

The Siddhartha Culture and Welfare Society, the school’s Ladakh NGO, and its leadership board, which lead the day-to-day operations of the Siddhartha School, have advised that a cost-of-living increase is necessary to fund each student’s education, raising the annual cost from $400 to $500. We need this increase to go into effect to provide adequate funding.

We recognize that some within our community live on a fixed income. If this $9-per-month increase is too great, please let me know. We can work with you to find a co-sponsor to cover this cost increase. We never want to lose a member of our community of supporters.

Lastly, there are 19 extraordinary students in need of sponsorship. If you know of friends, family, or work colleagues who would appreciate the opportunity to make a difference in a child’s future, please let us know.

With abiding gratitude for each of you,

Victor Reyes
President
