“The aim of education should be to train happy individuals who will make up a peaceful society. It requires warm-heartedness and taking a broad-minded, holistic and far-sighted approach that enables people to cope, whatever happens. This entails focussing not only on self-satisfaction, but on the good of the community. Wise self-interest takes the needs of others into account.”

—His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama

You are marvelous in your generosity. Thank you to all who have given! Today is #GivingTuesday and the last day of our campaign. We still need to raise more to keep our teachers paid and the school gates open!
Why give? Because education is the path to a more peaceful planet, and teachers trained in social and emotional learning (SEL) are equipped to generate that eventual outcome! Now is the time to give to those who have less.

We need to raise $168,991 by midnight tonight EST. The teachers need this money to continue providing education to the children of Ladakh. We can do it but only with your gifts!

IF YOU CAN, PLEASE GIVE!

Give to the Fund for Teachers

—All gifts are tax-deductible.—

Watch The Teachers’ Take on Teaching. Listen to our teachers talk about how Siddhartha School is different and why they choose to teach there. You’ll also see firsthand how our teachers are recording virtual teachings by cell phone so those without home internet don’t fall behind in the times of COIVD-19.

Campaign Recap: Missed Sunday’s and Monday’s videos? Watch them below and notice how earnest and heartfelt students are when they talk about what the school means to them. It’s a special place, and they need your support! Help us keep going! Give now.
