We are delighted to welcome Ms. Eshey Dolkar as the new principal of Siddhartha School. Young, compassionate, dedicated, and energetic, Ms. Dolkar officially began her new role on September 21, 2026.
She was warmly welcomed during the morning assembly by Khensur Rinpoche Lobzang Tsetan and Mr. Tsering Angdu, who presented her with a traditional ceremonial scarf. Later in the day, she met with teacher representatives and toured the classrooms, staff room, and dormitories, beginning to familiarize herself with the students, staff, and daily life of the school.
Ms. Dolkar is originally from Saspol village, west of Leh, and now also has a home in Choglamsar.
It was a wonderful day of welcome, and we look forward with great hope and optimism to this new chapter for Siddhartha School. We wish Ms. Dolkar every success as she begins her leadership and guides the school in the years ahead.

We are also deeply grateful to Principal Dechen Wangmo, who is stepping down after almost 10 years of dedicated leadership at Siddhartha School. During her tenure, she strengthened important partnerships, helped expand social and emotional learning opportunities for teachers throughout the region, guided campus improvements, and led the school through the extraordinary challenges of the pandemic and remote learning. She will be greatly missed, and we send her a heartfelt thank-you and our very best wishes as she begins her next chapter.
