As part of the School Health and Wellness Program, Siddhartha School’s new principal, Madam Eshey Dolkar (pictured below), held a meaningful session with students that focused on emotional well-being and mental health. The discussion emphasized the importance of understanding and expressing emotions, managing stress, and developing healthy ways to navigate life’s challenges.

With increasing academic pressures and the social and emotional changes that come with adolescence, mental health awareness is an essential part of education in India’s schools. By encouraging open conversations about emotional well-being, the school aims to create a supportive environment where students feel heard, valued, and comfortable seeking guidance when needed. These conversations help students build confidence, resilience, and the emotional skills necessary for both academic success and personal growth.

Earlier in October, students came together for the Interhouse Football Tournament, held at the beautiful Futsal Ground in Stok. The tournament was a wonderful opportunity for students to enjoy friendly competition, strengthen friendships, and celebrate the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical activity.

Adding to the festivities was a fun tailgate-style lunch, with delicious food served right from the back of a truck! Students and staff gathered to share a meal and enjoy the lively atmosphere, making the day even more memorable.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our founder, Khensur Rinpoche Lobzang Tsetan, for generously sponsoring lunch for all students and staff.

We also offer our sincere thanks to the president of the Stok Youth Club for kindly allowing us to use the beautiful grounds for the entire day. The club’s generosity and support helped make this special school event possible.
