Siddhartha School boys play tag on the play ground. Together we’ve reached many children and made real progress to beautify the school campus.

The New Year is upon us and we are filled with gratitude for your friendship and support for Siddhartha School Project. Together, we have made 2014 a most fruitful year for the children in the following ways:
We brought running water to the school.
We sponsored 123 students whose families can’t afford their education.
We paved the way for two Siddhartha School graduates to become the first Ladakhi girls to finish their high school degrees on scholarship in the USA.
We put together a Kickstarter music camp and performances to inspire Ladakhi folk culture at the school.
We created the Heroes Elevate Empathy Project to start a conversation through art and essays between Ladakhi students and children in Colorado, New York, and Bali about who inspires them and why.
We’ve donated over $80,000 USD for new computer equipment and to build new washrooms and a campus kitchen.
If you haven’t yet made a gift to the #OurSSP annual campaign, our end of year goal is within reach and there is still time to make a difference. With your help, we can raise the $8,000 left to reach our goal and build a new computer lab for the students and staff in 2015. This Week’s Siddhartha School Hero is the Ladakhi Woman.
This week’s hero is the Ladakhi woman. She’s the feminine force present in the daughters, mothers, and grandmothers of a beautiful culture. In this recording of a song by graduating student Mutup Tsewang, she is compared to the beauty of the four seasons.
