Last week, teachers and staff gathered for tea to warmly welcome Siddhartha School founder Khensur Rinpoche Lobzang Tsetan back to Stok village. He was happy to sit and catch up with Principal Dechen Wangmo, the teachers, and the school and hostel staffs.

His homecoming was filled with heartfelt conversation, laughter, tea, and fruit as he caught up on recent school developments and reconnected with everyone.

Earth Day always brings a sense of renewal to the region, following the long, subzero months typical of the Himalayan range. This year was no exception. Students and staff gathered outdoors with a shared sense of purpose, enjoying time together in the warm fresh air.

A highlight of the day was the planting of saplings across the school grounds. Some of the students brought their own plantings, contributing to a growing landscape that reflects both care for the environment and a long-standing school tradition on Earth Day. The activity continues to be a favorite for both students and staff, marking the arrival of spring.
