Dear Supporters of the Siddhartha School and Its Partnership,
As we enter fall, we want to provide an update on our community’s support of our mission. Since our May 13 communication, where we received an anonymous $42,000 matching gift, our supporters have stepped up with incredible generosity, giving $28,000 in unrestricted donations toward this match.
We still have $14,000 to raise for this specific matching gift.
We also wanted to share our total funding raised to date of $130,000. This total, with the expected matching gift of $42,000, and hopefully the remaining $14,000 in match, would bring our fund development total to $186,000 as of September 16, 2026.
Our goal is to raise an additional, needed $47,000 to meet our 2026 budget of $233,000. This budget is for unrestricted funds that cover operations, teacher and staff salaries, and other expenses; it is separate from restricted donations like the Khensur Rinpoche Legacy Fund and our Social and Emotional Learning Program.
The graph below shows two levels of fund-raising: the matching gift and funds raised to date against this gift, and our year-to-date (YTD) fund development (unrestricted) and the remaining funds needed to meet the year-end budget. The year-end amount needed already takes into account full receipt of the matching gift and is not part of the $47,000 funds needed.
